EVERETT — Law enforcement briefly closed all lanes of eastbound U.S. 2 on the trestle west of Highway 204 due to a vehicle fire on Saturday.
Around 9:50 a.m. Saturday, law enforcement responded to reports of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames near milepost 2, according to a Washington State Department of Transportation social media post.
Both lanes of US 2 have reopened on the Trestle after an earlier vehicle fire.

The driver was not in the vehicle at the time of the fire, said Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kelsey Harding.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, law enforcement reopened both lanes, the post said.
