PRIEST RIVER, Idaho — Bonner County officials say two teens from Nine Miles Falls, Wash., drowned in a fast moving stream near Priest Lake over the weekend.
The bodies of the male victims, ages 19 and 16, were recovered at about 5 a.m. Saturday in a log jam below the bridge near Priest Lake.
A group of campers at Lion Head Campground called 911 at about 1 a.m. Saturday to report that two members of their five-person party were missing and presumed caught in the fast flowing Lion Head Creek.
Volunteers with Priest Lake Search and Rescue and sheriff deputies began searching early Saturday.
The names of the victims were withheld while family members were notified.
