ABERDEEN — The National Weather Service says the waves on the Washington coast Monday are not as big and powerful as feared.
Forecasters canceled a high surf advisory and flood watch. They say high tides are not a significant risk to the jetty under repair at the Quileute lower village.
Forecasters say the ocean swell could rise above 20 feet again on Wednesday.
During high tide Sunday water covered sidewalks in Westport near the marina. But, City Administrator Randy Lewis told KBKW water didn’t appear to get into buildings.
