EVERETT — Summer weather will have a brief intermission the next day or so with forecasted rains coming to Everett on Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Weather Forecast is predicting a rain front hitting the area early Wednesday morning around 2 a.m. As the day goes on, the chance of rain rises to 90%, with predictions of up to a quarter inch of precipitation.
“We’re going to see some beneficial rain, widespread rain showers, especially in Everett,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Kayla Mazurkiewicz. “Definitely will be like a change in what we usually have.”
With a daytime high of 67 degrees, Wednesday after 5 p.m. brings the possibility of thunderstorms, with up to another half inch of rain.
“As we head into Thursday, we could see some lingering shower activity in Everett, but mostly it’ll continue to dry out,” Mazurkiewicz said.
Thursday’s predictions include likely showers, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain expected.
As the area heads into the weekend, temperatures will start rising, with Friday’s forecast reaching a high of 70, Saturday’s reaching 72 and Sunday’s reaching 75.
