The city pulled together a group of people from around the city to brainstorm ideas for improving Everett’s oldest park, Clark Park.
Probably the highlight of the event Monday evening was a talk about the history of the park by historian David Dilgard. He brought up one mystery I hope you can help solve. For years the park was home to a vintage cannon. As Dilgard put it, it was never quite clear where that cannon came from — or what happened to it.
“It was probably one of the park’s greatest recreational items,” he said. “You could sit on it, pretend you were aiming it at the bad guys.”
Do you know what happened to the cannon? Can we narrow down when it was last at Clark Park? Somebody has got to know.
