LYNNWOOD — A 34-year-old woman died in a three-car collision near Lynnwood late Monday night.
Two 18-year-olds were driving cars westbound on 164th Street Southwest around 10:30 p.m. when one T-boned the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of 25th Avenue West, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was deceased at the scene.
An 18-year-old woman who was driving one of the other cars and a girl, 17, were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with minor injuries. The 18-year-old man driving the third car remained at the scene after the crash.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office are still trying to determine what caused the crash. They believe speed was a factor. While they investigated, the road was closed for several hours.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone who has information about the collision to call its tip line at 425-388-3845.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the woman, as well as determine the cause and manner of her death.
