MARYSVILLE — A man was arrested early Wednesday after a SWAT team forced him out of his house.
The Marysville man, 41, allegedly choked a woman unconscious and threatened to kill her, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The woman escaped from the house in the 14100 block of 40th Avenue NW.
The man barricaded himself inside and refused to leave when deputies arrived, according to police. The SWAT team was called, and arrived just after midnight. Deputies tried speaking with the suspect, but he didn’t respond.
The SWAT team fired a pepperball through the man’s bedroom window. He came out of the house and was taken into custody. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree assault, felony harassment and unlawful imprisonment.
