SEATTLE — The Washington State Patrol says a 27-year-old woman fell from a freeway overpass onto Interstate 405 near Kirkland and was hit by a semi-truck, leaving her in critical condition.
The Seattle Times reports the truck driver stopped briefly but drove off without contacting anyone after hitting the woman on I-405. The State Patrol says the truck swerved but couldn’t avoid striking the woman.
The newspaper reports the 27-year-old woman remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.
