Art work on display
Customers of Washington Vocational Services entered an art contest in September.
Wendy Becker, cultural development officer for Snohomish County, agreed to display the artwork in the Snohomish County Administration Building.
See the work in the first floor lobby of the Robert J. Drewel Building at 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett.
The lobby is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Join KSER award celebration: The KSER Voice of the Community Award celebration is planned for next month.
The award recognizes local people who speak up about community or cultural concerns. Past winners include Winnie Corral of the South Everett Neighborhood Center and Familias Unidas, and Marilyn Rosenberg, owner of Zippy’s Java Lounge in Everett.
Author Paul Loeb is scheduled to speak at the event. He has spent more than 30 years researching and writing about citizen responsibility and empowerment.
KSER (90.7 FM) is an independent public radio station serving Snohomish and Island counties.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Jackson Center, Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett, Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at www.kser.org.
