Wreck snarls traffic at I-5, I-405 interchange

LYNNWOOD – The ramp from southbound I-5 to southbound I-405 near Alderwood mall is partially blocked tonight after a one-car rollover collision.

Traffic is backed up past 164th Street, and transportation officials recommend that drivers consider alternate routes.

Around 5:30 p.m., an Everett man, 18, lost control of his Mazda Protege. As of 6:30 p.m., the car was resting in the right lane upside down and a tow truck was en route.

No injuries were reported, said trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers believe the man may have been driving too fast for conditions.

As the rainy season kicks in, Leary reminds drivers to check the condition of theirs tires, as tire tread may have been an issue in the rollover.
