Man charged in 3 sex assault cases faces new allegations

Two counts of indecent liberties and one count of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation charged.

BELLINGHAM — A Bellingham man who has been charged with sexually assaulting two girls and raping an intoxicated woman is now facing additional sex assault charges in a fourth case.

The Bellingham Herald reported that Carlos A. Scott, aka Carlos Alberto Rivera, has been arrested four times the past four months and charged with sex crimes that date from 2013 to spring 2017.

Scott posted $100,000 bond the same day he was arrested Sept. 7. He has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties and one count of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation.

A high-level local racquetball player, Scott met three of those alleged victims at the Bellingham Athletic Club.
