PASCO — Pasco police say officers shot and wounded a 31-year-old Pasco man who fired at them.
Authorities say the man was taken to a local hospital following the shooting late Saturday. He is expected to recover from his gunshot wounds.
Police said Sunday that the man was a suspect in a violent domestic dispute and did not follow police commands. KPER-TV reported that officers tried to use a Taser on him but he broke free, grabbed a gun and fired at police. Officers fired back.
Officers involved in the shooting have been place on administration leave.
A special regional team is investigating.
