SEATTLE — A water supply outage in the entire Snoqualmie Pass area has forced a ski resort to close.
Utility crews are working to locate a water leak that the left the resort and hundreds of residents in the Snoqualmie Pass area east of Seattle without water.
The Summit at Snoqualmie experienced a power outage on Wednesday that later made it hard for the resort to get water.
Although most of the main lifts at Summit Central continued to operate, the ski resort decided to shut down later that afternoon.
The resort is offering refunds to anyone who purchased lift tickets for Wednesday night or Thursday.
It’s unclear when the resort will reopen.
