A man of action who deserves re-election

Bravo for endorsing Rep. John Lovick to return to the House of Representatives! Rep. Lovick is a quiet man of action and deserving of reelection. After listening to days and days of negative ads this election season, it is refreshing to have a few politicians like Rep. Lovick who can hold out their accomplishments rather than tear down their opponents.

During the past year Rep. Lovick came to Evergreen Manor to discuss some legislation that impacted our program. And while there, he asked what our non-profit organization needed. We quickly answered “car seats!” (We provide residential chemical dependency treatment for pregnant women who have $39 a month for incidentals. For them, car seats are a luxury they cannot afford.) Rep. Lovick got on the phone right then and there and within hours we had car seats at our program for the mothers in need that day and the ability to have them replenished as needed. This is the kind of leader we need in Olympia. They’re too rare.
