A tax-free way to give back control

I would like to take this opportunity to urge voters to support Initiative 790 in the fall election.

Initiative 790 would allow our firefighters and police the needed opportunity to hve a voice in managing their pension plan. Currently, they have no say in how their plan is run, even though they contribute half of their pension costs. Initiative 790 would establish a new board of trustees consisting of three firefighters, three law enforcement officers, three employer representatives, and two legislators. There is no cost to the taxpayer to establish this board.

So please get out and vote this fall, and vote yes for Initiative 790.
