Granite Falls is a burgeoning community. In the past, many have considered Granite Falls a diamond in the rough – that diamond is beginning to shine. We are blessed with countless volunteers who have helped maintain our small town atmosphere and are willing to take the risks necessary to make our town a safe and flourishing place to live. We boast a variety of groups who are willing to go the extra mile for our children. We enjoy outstanding support from parents and family members at school activities as well as community functions.
We have the Community Coalition which is now an internationally recognized group of volunteers working together to address the issues of substance abuse that many communities prefer to sweep under the rug. In a variety of venues, Granite Falls citizens and school employees are working together to create challenging, enriching, fun and safe activities for our kids.
We have motivated and highly professional educators in the Granite Falls School District who work above and beyond to enhance student learning. Our schools, the hub of our community, offer a multitude of academic, social and athletic opportunities for students of all ability and interest levels. We must continue to feed this course of improvement.
We must continue to support our schools so that our entire community can shine even brighter. As a community that cares about continuing a quality educational program, we must say yes to the proposed Granite Falls school levy at the upcoming March 9 election. This town deserves the best for its future – its children.
Please vote yes for the Granite Falls school levy.
