Bill Moos, athletic director for Washington State University, had no decision to make. He had to let football coach Paul Wulff go.
It had very little to do with a “mediocre” program or empty seats or Wulff improving his 9-40 record. The real reason: Two days prior, both Slick Rick Neuheisel and a guy named Dennis Erickson were fired. They each had better programs and more wins then Wulff. Having that happen, Moos could not justify or defend his decision had he kept Wulff.
Thank you, Rick and Dennis.
