Admit scope, history of police shootings

Let’s be honest. These racist police shootings have been going on long before everyone had phone video. Logic dictates that many, many police officers have not only failed to speak out, they have lied about murder to protect their No. 1 loyalty, their fellow officers. Police departments are doing the right thing with bias education and efforts toward community policing. But until we are honest enough to address what has equalled systemic, institutional murder for decades we are still being self-righteous phonies.
