I read your cover story in the July 26 Real Estate section concerning Lynnwood’s affordable housing (“Easy Access”). At $233,000, how is that considered affordable? If both parents work in high-paying, professional jobs, maybe. But if one is unemployed, or is home with kids, that is not affordable. Maybe a $133,000 house. But in a good neighborhood? Not likely. So for those of us who are struggling to find a decent job so we can feed and clothe our kids, I guess we are out of luck, because this so-called “affordable” housing is way out of our reach.
