It’s no wonder The Herald is going in the toilet with the March 8 editorial, “Save EPA, but let state set rules.”
Let’s go back to The Herald editorial dated Feb. 1, 1998, “Salmon recovery must be goal throughout the state.” That same edition had a letter to the editor from myself, inventor of Enviro-Drain stormwater filters. And I said then “Quit this political back rub, it’s costing us our quality of life and the future of salmon runs that enter or leave fresh water.”
The EPA, the state Department of Ecology, King County and city of Seattle have monopolized the prevention on stormwater pollution by wasting the money on bureaucracy and regulation without one ounce of stormwater being treated.
Almost 20 years have passed since The Herald published that Feb. 1, 1998 editorial and you have the audacity to keep promoting the rape and pillage of salmon and taxpayers?
Wake up, Herald; be an advocate not a sheep.
