Why are insurance prices for beginning drivers cheaper for girls than for guys? I just bought my first car and the insurance is about $140 a month. I later found that for a girl to drive the same car, they would only have to pay about $80.
The insurance companies claim that girls are more responsible and they are not as likely to get in accidents. Although every time I drive by girls who are driving, they are always either on their cell phones, or dancing around to the music in their cars. For some reason, I don’t think that they are any more safe than guys. Sure, some guys drive fast, but girls not paying attention because they are on their cell phones is just as dangerous. I think that insurance companies should have the same starting balance for every new driver.
