So it’s Donald “The Denier” Trump vs. Ron “The Disaster” DeSantis. I’ve voted for Republicans many times if I thought they were the best candidate but I don’t recall ever in my long life, the Republican Party being represented by such poor candidates, especially the leading candidates, and I know there’s lots of good Republicans out there. At least there were. It’s probably because any quality candidate has to win Trump voters over and very few quality candidates can do that or even want to try.
To Trumpies, truth is what Trump says it is. Facts are just a bothersome inconvenience dreamed up by the libs and democracy is a thing of the past. Many of today’s far right Republicans are openly racist and homophobic as witnessed by the white power, torch bearing, shows put on by Republicans.
Republicans, in my humble opinion, are missing a great opportunity, considering Biden is not especially popular according to the polls but Trump continues to be his own worst enemy with his verbal diarrhea and he will lose by even more if he’s the candidate in 2024 because he’s turned off so many swing voters. We’ll see.
