I read with interest the Sunday Viewpoints commentary, “Letting dollars get away” by Roesler and Patricelli stating tax loopholes are costing us millions. But what tax loopholes? I would like to see an article listing these 640 tax loopholes (or at least some of them) with information about each as when enacted, the intended purpose, who benefits, and the measured results. Tax loopholes are a funny thing. When someone else benefits it is a tax loophole. When I benefit it is a positive economic recognition and reward. I would like to read about specific “tax loopholes” rather than a generalize statement “…tax breaks clog our tax code and undermine our state budget” which tells me nothing.
