It is hard to believe the recent sentencing of Steve Bannon to four months in jail as compared to other sentences convicted of similar crimes!
It just goes to show that the rich and the “haves” will continue to benefit from being rich when it comes to facing a judge in court.
I can almost bet that if the twice-impeached ex-president will probably be handed the nomination for president in 2024 if he is brought in front of a judge of any of his many, many, many crimes. He might even be anointed as president for life if he goes in front of the right judge.
Pessimistic? Yes. Worried? Yes.
I will just have to continue to try to may the local elections go the “right” way. After all, local is about all we have left to use some kind of control.
I am very happy that it may take some time for this country to go down the tubes. I will not be around when that happens to be able to tell all those people who do not care, “I told you so.” I feel for those whose grandkids will be around to ask, “What happened?”
