I couldn’t help but relating how I feel about our County Council members with their recent vote for “ultimate capacity” in regard to 164th Street. Some of their comments and mine are as follows:
“Pavement won’t work,” Gossett said. “We looked for a solution to get cars off the road and we think we found one.” Perhaps the voters will find one, too, and get you out of office the next election.
The vote “recognizes the reality that we’re turning away from road expansion in that area,” County Councilman Dave Somers said. Perhaps the voters will turn away from you during the next election, too.
The decision was a tough one, Republican County Councilman John Koster said. Perhaps the voters will not have a tough decision about you during the next election.
I will remember the councilmen who voted for “ultimate capacity” during the next election and will remind my neighbors and others to not forget either.
