Each day as I drive along Mukilteo Boulevard, and am privileged to view the beautiful riot of colored impatiens mounding over and around the landscape, I smile.
Each year we locals and visitors alike are treated to this visual candy as we go about our busy days. This was the first year my husband and I joined the many volunteers who spend one Saturday morning planting up the little starts. We enjoyed the sunny day, the friendly fellow gardeners and we were treated royally by the parks department with yummy refreshments. All ages turned up to help from families with little ones to seniors like us. While I’m giving thanks, the huge pots of flowers blooming all along Colby on the flag lined street make me proud to live and work in this area. Thanks Everett – you’re looking great.
