Our democracy is dead. Our so-called two-party system killed it. When the president is corrupt, and the Congress is as corrupt as he is, we no longer have a democracy.
We can’t vote him out because he’s corrupted our electoral system. And we sure can’t count on the Senate for defending our constitution against despots. It’s like the new car lemon law only the guy that determines whether your car is a lemon is the same guy that sold you the car.
So let us call the two-party system for what it really is. It’s a system for the elites managed by the elites. If you are a “a person of wealth” you’re qualified. They’re not going to question why Hunter Biden was given a six-figure position, that he was completely unqualified for, because his daddy was the vice-president, a member of their club. They’re not going to hold a corrupt president accountable because he too is one of their own. Even if he was found guilty, the next elite in his position will pardon him. It’s the “good old boys club” in all its glory.
The best qualified people won’t run for office because no sane person would subject themselves or their family to the caustic environment that permeates our capital. So, we’re stuck watching underhanded used car salesmen (our leaders) destroy our democracy on live TV.
