n behalf of the Marysville Community Food Bank, I want to express our deep appreciation to the community for responding so generously to meet our needs during the recent holiday season. At Thanksgiving we served more than 700 families with food boxes, along with a turkey or other meat product. During the Christmas distribution, the number of families served increased to nearly 800.
This would not have been possible without such broad support from schools, churches, service clubs, businesses, the police and fire department and private individuals. More than 100 volunteers assisted us in receiving, sorting, preparing and distributing the thousands of pounds of food we received.
The Marysville Food Bank is very fortunate to be located in a community where people truly care about the less fortunate among us. Many thanks to all of you for your assistance.
