Bush doesn’t have to prove himself

ast year I served jury duty in Snohomish County and was given a handout specifically stating that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty. Now this is a phrase that all adults have heard at some time in their lives. We also have a tendency to understand and believe in that concept in this country – until now. Some Democrats have decided that George Bush needs to prove his innocence in regards to the “left created” National Guard flap. This of course would set aside over two hundred years of courtroom as well as moral beliefs.

It is apparent that their hatred of him is more important than our country’s rich tradition of fairness. I would only ask them this. How would you like it if you were asked to do the same thing? Would you think that was fair? Sometimes it can be extremely difficult to “prove” your innocence, particularly with questions that are over 30 years old. And really, why should you have to? The person that is making the accusation has the burden to prove it. Why don’t the Democrats take a real hard look in the mirror and see if that is really the reflection that you want to see. I am thinking that you are the ones looking foolish on this issue and I don’t have to go back 30 years to prove it.
