Bush is a man of integrity and trust

In the first debate the president looked tired. No wonder, after spending the day assessing the damage caused by the hurricanes in Florida, carrying that heavy burden on his shoulders, as well as that of the war on terror and that of his adversaries in our own country. In spite of these factors, I thought he did well.

In the last debate, he did shine and proved to the American people what leadership in a time of war is all about. Sen. John Kerry is an eloquent speaker – that was his job as an attorney and prosecutor. I like the president because he says what he means and means what he says. I look beyond all the fancy rhetoric and the hate expressed by certain elements in our country to find the man I can trust, a man of integrity, and one deeply grounded in a faith in Almighty God like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan were.

I believe we should not change commanders in the middle of a battle. Remember folks, we are at war. We should help shoulder the burden the president carries, get behind him and win the battle. How quickly people seem to forget how close we all were as a nation after Sept. 11, 2001.

As for me and my house, my children and grandchildren, we will vote for President Bush.
