Bush is a proven leader, not follower

Who is John Kerry? We know that he is a man with a lifelong ambition to be president. He says he has “a plan” to do better than President Bush in just about every area, and wants us to believe he is not an extreme liberal. However, by looking at Kerry’s 20-year Senate record, we can see beyond his criticism and know concretely what he really would do if elected.

Kerry’s voting record shows that he is an out-of-touch liberal. He has voted repeatedly to increase taxes on the middle class, against defense programs, and to slash the intelligence budget. He says he would build alliances in the war on terror, but he voted against sending troops into Kuwait when Iraq invaded it. This was with a United Nations resolution and a very large coalition. When would Kerry use force in the proven interest of the United States and its allies? Can we survive his “global test”?

President Bush took a failing economy in an inherited recession, further damaged by 9/11, and turned it around. Only a negative, biased media could look at the numbers and not see a healthy, growing economy. Bush has led this recovery. Plus, we know that he is a leader, not a follower, when it comes to defending America’s interests. He will not wait for innocent Americans to die before he takes firm action against our enemies.

John Kerry has a questionable track record, unproven leadership abilities, and is a self-admitted war criminal. These times require a proven leader who is honorable and resolved. Kerry has proven, through his own shifting of positions throughout this campaign, that he is not that leader. President Bush has proven that he is. We must re-elect George W. Bush.
