A recent letter writer chides Jay Inslee for his lack of experience in business as though only “Business People” know how to run a government. (“We can’t afford Inslee’s fed think“).
His remarks rang in my head as I walked down the streets of Edmonds past businesses that have closed because of mismanagement, and I wondered — do I want our government run like a business where the bottom line dictates, and where the devil takes the hindmost, or do I want our government run like a family, where we work together for the betterment of the collected family?
I prefer the latter. After all, we really are one big family.
