Camano Island roundabouts will help to reduce accidents

I am happy to report some good news to the residents of Camano Island. Work will be starting in 2025 to build a four-leg roundabout on Camano Island at the intersection of Arrowhead Road and Cross Island Road.

Also, in the future, the state Department of Transportation and Island Country will work together to build a roundabout at Terry’s Corrner. A roundabout is based on a number things, some of which are: traffic flow and how many accidents occur at the location. A roundabout has proven to result in fewer accidents, faster traffic flow and less maintenance. Also, if the power goes out, traffic will not stop or slow down.

Personally. I think the city of Stanwood should also build one or two roundabouts, instead of some sort of bypass. Just a thought.
