Can’t Bothell’s Country Village be saved?

Please, can’t we save Country Village?

I had not heard about the development that is planned for Country Village off the Bothell-Everett Highway. I drove by and saw the “public notice” sign. My heart sank. I have felt ill every time I think about condos replacing all, or most, of a beloved destination place.

I pray it can be stopped before it happens. It can be difficult to maintain a business and be profitable, but I think with help we can keep this place thriving for years to come. I know money talks, but this is an irreplaceable landmark. I would think the mayor of Bothell would think so too. Is this progress?

There must be a way to save it for the children and adults yet to come to enjoy it also.

So many people I have spoken with have such fond memories of Country Village and its great restaurants. I love the cafe. I had my first piece of homemade marionberry pie there! So many unique shops, there’s no where like it!

Can we rally the public to help make a difference and save this special place?

It really is a wonderful destination to visit and enjoy.

Would we promote going to see the nature, waterways, animals and birds, and all it has to offer: Santa at Christmas, caroling, tree lighting, all so magical!

Or do we invite friends and family to come see the condos?

What would you prefer?
