The Snohomish Senior Center has qualified for Multi-Purpose Senior Center funding since 2005. At the present time there are four centers receiving $60,500 yearly. Each year Snohomish Seniors petitioned the county to be included in MBSC funding. Each year they have been denied.
It is necessary for Snohomish Seniors be included in the 2009 budget. In order to continue offering the many programs to enhance the quality of life to the growing senior population, operating capital is essential It is time for the county to be fair and recognize the Snohomish Seniors.
