Our justice system needs a major overhaul.
Byron Scherf was found guilty and convicted of the brutal murder of Jayme Biendl. Any doubt of his guilt should have been dealt with in the courtroom. Once the verdict is rendered, do what the law says. Mr. Scherf broke the rules of God and man and while he still has a chance to be forgiven, he must pay the penalty for the crime. Do not drag out the inevitable wasting time and resources we do not have. What message does this give the accused and even worse, can you imagine the agony Jayme’s family and friends go through as this drags on? These reviews and delays make the justice system appear to second guess these verdicts! You who have the power, please take a timely stand and do the right thing in the name of the law.
