Voters have a choice when it comes to schools. They have a choice to stand up for what is fair and just and vote yes on EHJR 4204. School levies routinely pass in this state, only to be lost because of the super-majority requirement. When we can fund a stadium with 50 percent of the vote or fund a light rail system with 50 percent of the vote, it is wrong to require 60 percent of the vote to fund education.
According to the state Constitution, education is the paramount duty of the state; 4204 allows the citizens of this state to fund schools without burdensome and unfair restrictions. As a parent, as a teacher, as a community member, I urge you to vote yes on 4204.
