Clearly presented health care issues

James McCusker’s column each Sunday in the Money section is well-written, focused and relevant. He deserves to be widely read.

He was right on about the health care insurance system. It is a mess. It gets tough when you lose your job and discover COBRA is so expensive. Or, when you get bumped off of Basic Health because you add a few work hours (and dollars) and no longer qualify. Or, when you’re disabled or over 65 and are put on Medicare and thus lose your prescription coverage; or when you retire after 65, sign up for COBRA but not for Medicare Part B.

Thanks, Mr. McCusker, for such a clear presentation on this important subject, and for outlining the issues that must be addressed.
