Richard Kane’s letter on Wednesday said respect is in order for our commander in chief, who is a veteran. Was this the pillow fight wars of Kennebunkport or the battle of the sexes? Respect is earned, not inherited. A spoiled brat in the Texas Air National Guard is no veteran of Vietnam, which must be what Kane is implying. I don’t remember any overseas duty, no commendations of valor, nothing to brag about except he wasn’t a draft dodger at least. The president has great cheerleaders as followers but this apple is no orange.
