Confine holiday to one day, not weeks

I used to love the Fourth of July – the anticipation of having family and friends over for a picnic and, at dark, the fireworks.

Well, I no longer love the Fourth of July, and dread the week before and the week after. It is a total bombardment for two full weeks.

You can’t sleep because of the noise and the disruption it causes to the animals.

I don’t mind one day, but two weeks is ridiculous.

If you are going to do fireworks please be considerate of those who have to work, and those of us who are constantly having to calm down our nervous pets.
