The Herald really laid its leftist cards on the table with the Feb. 9 editorial, “Make good choices easier.” But I’m not sure I understand the part where you want the government to create “policy interventions like those that have reduced tobacco use and motor vehicle injuries.” You want the state to regulate salt so it costs $6 per packet? You want the government to force everyone to wear seat belts why they are eating?
Hey, I know, why don’t we just have the state remove everyone’s taste buds? Yeah, that’s the ticket. And then we can all wear Mao uniforms. And then the state’s health care plan can include handing death pills as a way to escape this intellectually vacant, slavish, dismal hell-hole of a planet. Problem solved.
When speaking about Egypt, Obama related human dignity to self-determination and freedom. Your editorial promoting government control over our salt consumption is truly nothing less than a blatant attempt to strip the dignity from liberty-loving Americans.
