The Jan. 30 letter from the people who lost four of six TV stations when they changed from analog is no surprise. If you don’t get a station perfectly with an antenna, then you won’t get it at all with a converter box. TV stations, of course, don’t want to lose viewers. They cannot help you, because it’s not their fault. This is not the newest technology, but it is what we are required to switch to.
It seems that whenever government acts beyond its basic, proper role of protecting our inherent “unalienable” rights, it causes problems. Acting outside its area to solve a problem it creates another.
The new “stimulus” legislation gives $650 million for those TV converter boxes.
