County auditor: Gobel has background for job

I am incredibly impressed with Cindy Gobel and give my strong recommendation in support of her for Snohomish County auditor.

Gobel brings experience in law enforcement dispatch and administration and 17 years working in elections and state and federal election law compliance, first with Snohomish County Elections and then under Secretary of State Kim Wyman in the elections division.

She brings a law degree from Seattle University, which is critical for managing an agency responsible for carrying out and following local, state, and federal legislation. She also brings a degree in education from Western Washington University. Her education and experience are evident when she speaks about the law, elections, voting, administration and government and its role and impact. She is passionate about ensuring that voters and community members have every opportunity to engage in these processes and work toward positive change.

The auditor’s office is where everyone, regardless of their beliefs or politics, takes care of the basics: registering to vote, applying for a marriage license, registering a pet, vehicle, or boat, or recording documents. We in Snohomish County deserve leadership excited and motivated to engage with our community, uphold the law, and provide accessible services for all.

Cindy will bring trust in democracy by building an auditor’s office that fosters excellent customer service and attention to detail, cultivates integrity, follows the law, and assures you that you, your life, and your vote genuinely matter.
