As a woman and a mom, I have compassion and concern for the homeless in our town. I know homelessness and drug abuse have impacted almost every community in our state. Monroe is no exception. We all see it when we go to the grocery store. Or when we take our dogs for a walk. We see it in the parks we take our families to and it is an issue we can no longer avoid.
Sam Low campaigned on addressing this problem last year and as far as I am concerned, he has fulfilled that promise in his time on council. Since taking office, Sam has made it a priority to talk about this challenging issue. But he doesn’t just talk the talk. He walks the walk. Sam has been a regular attendee of community meetings in Monroe related to homelessness. He has been a voice of support for our embedded social worker and other programs to try to address this issue. It is refreshing to see a politician stand true to their word and prioritize the issues we elected them to address.
Please join me in voting for our County Councilman Sam Low.
