County should have kept Sunnyside open

I just had to write after reading about the lane closure on Sunnyside Boulevard. through June 6. For the last two-plus months we have been hearing about all the planning going into the Highway 529 closure between Everett and Marysville. Now, with that project set to start, another north-south route is being restricted. Sunnyside worked wonderfully last time Highway 529 was under repair to avoid the I-5 parking lot. At this point in time there are four north-south options for the commuter to pick from. With the planned road work this summer, our options are reduced to I-5 and Highway 9.

I have to wonder about Snohomish County’s timing.
