Readers and voters unite! On Wednesday, the Snohomish County Council once again ignored everything right and reasonable in their close decision permitting development of the Foster Farm property near Arlington. If your representative is Gary Nelson, John Koster or Kirk Sievers you should know that those three chose to arrogantly disregard state law and the Growth Management Hearing board decision with regard to this case.
Requests for a compromise from the land owner, the City of Arlington, Cascade Land Conservancy and FutureWise were ignored. These councilmen are a danger to our way of life. Only one of them needs to go for reason to return to Snohomish County’s land use policies. Please remember this and other outrageous decisions (like your friendly next-door cluster development) when you have the opportunity to vote in a council race.
