Democrats aren’t in the mainstream

Many reasons have been put forth to explain the extent of the Democrats’ election loss. Here are some factors that have gone unmentioned or underemphasized:

In the middle of a war, the Democrats nominate Sen. John Kerry, who has been anti-military since leaving the Navy. In addition, he has a long record of voting against military and intelligence funding. To those who think the war against radical Muslim fundamentalists should have first priorty, this nomination bordered on the insane.

As during the Vietnam conflict, the left continues to make comments that tend to discourage the troops and encourage the enemy. The enemy is listening and so are the voters.

The Democratic Party is in bed with the ACLU, which is perceived to be nothing more than an anti-Christian organization.

The hypocrisy involved in emphasizing Sen. Kerry’s four months in Vietnam, when one’s war record was of no concern, when Mr. Clinton was their hero, came back to bite them.

The Democratic Party made clear what it was against: business, military, guns and religion. But what do a lot of people remember them being for: same-sex marriage, taking God out of the Pledge of Allegiance, partial-birth-abortion.

The Democratic Party may have once represented the average American, but now it has become an advocate for liberalism. The basic tenants of the liberalism are socialistic and socialism is a philosophy that instills fear and tribulation in the historically aware.
