So, where were all of our state leaders to greet the president of the United States when he touched down in Seattle recently? When President Clinton landed at Boeing Field a few years back, our senators raced back for the photo-op. We had Gov. Gary Locke and King County Executive Ron Sims tripping over themselves to get next to him, not to mention every other liberal-elected official bubbling with glee when Clinton walked on the tarmac.
Would it have killed our governor to greet the president to our state? Gov. Locke is not even running again, so what does he have to lose? The lack of any of our state’s leaders at the president’s arrival was classless and embarrassing.
