When I grew up in Seattle most of my neighbors were Democrats. There were also a few Republicans, but back then we all got along pretty well. You might not agree, but at the end of the day you would still be friends.
I guess those days are over. I don’t have any friends who support Trump, and I am sure most Trump supporters don’t much care for any Democrat. Too bad, but that’s the way it is.
I was around when the war in Vietnam was at its worst and we were divided then, maybe even more than now. I will say though that we never had a leader who used such divisive politics as the current president. One more thing that is interesting to me, Hillary Clinton received more votes when she ran for president than any man or woman who ever ran for that office. Millions more than Trump got.
