A little after 10 o’clock on Monday morning, I paid for my groceries at QFC in Claremont Village, picked up my bag and began to walk away. As I took a drink of my coffee, I realized I hadn’t paid for it. I turned around to tell the cashier. She was finishing the next customer. I told her I hadn’t paid for the coffee and the next customer said he had forgotten to pay for his also. He took more money out to pay for his and told the cashier he wanted to pay for mine too. I told him he didn’t need to do that but he told the cashier to do it anyway. I thanked him and the lovely young lady he was with. She said, “Just do something nice for someone else.”
Thanks again for the coffee and the boost in restoring my faith in human kindness, and I will.
